Galco Holster Vault
Galco’s Holster Vault was
designed with weapon security foremost in mind. Keeping your pistol safe from
unauthorized users is essential. Law enforcement personnel, commercial airline
pilots and lawfully armed citizens can all benefit from the Holster Vault’s
unique features.
Serving as both a conventional strong side and crossdraw belt holster, the
Holster Vault also provides Level 10 security (the highest level of security
available from a holster). By inserting Galco’s resettable combination padlock
(purchased separately) through the opening in the Holster Vault’s trigger guard
area, the pistol is completely and safely secured in the holster, (see
Illustration A). It cannot be removed from the holster, and since the trigger
guard is completely covered with leather, no access to the trigger is possible.
Even if the leather holster were to be cut away from the firearm, the trigger
could not be squeezed because the lock will remain intact behind the trigger.
Law enforcement personnel, who must often remove their handguns to enter
correctional facilities or courthouses, will appreciate the additional level of
security provided by the Holster Vault. Law enforcement personnel may choose to
insert one side of their handcuffs through the holster/trigger guard instead of
using a Galco padlock, (see illustration B). The other end of the cuffs may also
be locked around a secure object as a further security measure (see illustration
C).
Armed airline pilots who are part of the Federal Flight Deck Officers will find
that the Holster Vault meets that program’s requirements for pre- and
post-boarding weapon security, and provides extra peace of mind when flying with
a firearm.
Armed citizens may wish to secure their handguns in vehicles when entering
firearms prohibited areas ("disarmed-victim zones") or when placing them in a
night table. The Holster Vault’s additional layer of safety and security will
provide these gun owners an additional level of assurance.
Once the lock/handcuffs are removed, the Holster Vault’s function is as
impressive as other Galco belt holsters: quick, comfortable, secure, and
concealable.
