The SureShot ballistic calculator is a joint venture between 5.11 Tactical and Horus Vision. How does SureShot work? First, input the rifle data into the calculator ahead of time (muzzle velocity, the bullet’s ballistic coefficient, bore height and zero range). Second, punch in the environmental data when you’ve taken up a shooting position (temperature, elevation, wind speed and direction). Then add the inclination angle and finally the range-to-target data. Once this information is entered, the calculator gives you a shooting result in MILS, TMOA or SMOA.
